ENS (early Neurological Stimulation) and ESI (Early Scent Introduction) with Ginny’s puppies

Early neurological stimulation (ENS) and early scent introduction (ESI) are two important practices that can help to prepare puppies for a lifetime of good health and happiness. ENS involves gently handling and stimulating a puppy's senses in the first few days of life. ESI involves exposing a puppy to a variety of different scents.

Benefits of ENS

ENS has been shown to have a number of benefits for puppies, including:

  • Improved immune function

  • Reduced stress levels

  • Increased cognitive function

  • Enhanced motor skills

  • Improved cardiovascular health

Benefits of ESI

ESI can also help puppies in a number of ways, including:

  • Improved sense of smell

  • Increased confidence

  • Reduced fear of new things

  • Enhanced ability to learn

ENS and ESI can be especially beneficial for puppies who are being raised to be family or therapy dogs. These dogs need to be well-socialised and confident in order to be successful in their roles. ENS and ESI can help to ensure that these puppies get off to a good start in life.
